Publication of the Sacree program!

After almost 3 years of work, the partners of the Sacree project are happy to present the new resources for the sports sector and for autistic people and their families created within the framework of this project.

We thank all those who contributed to the creation of these documents, including: those who participated in our online questionnaire and interviews on the experiences of autistic people in sport, those who devoted time to reviewing the draft versions of our sports program and who provided us with feedback and advice to improve it, and those who participated in the tests.

We have developed new tools for the sports sector. Aware that the sports sector lacks tools to accommodate autistic people, we decided to create:

  • A guide on autism that provides the sports sector with the basic knowledge needed, advice on structuring sessions and the environment, methodological advice for setting up projects, information on possible group configurations, etc.
  • An e-learning program of one hour that expands on the above guide to raise awareness of autism in sport. This e-learning includes podcasts, videos, quizzes, and texts to allow you to learn in a fun way.
  • A pedagogical model of a sports program that presents the theoretical foundations of the Sacree project: tests and surveys conducted, knowledge about autism to be acquired, guidelines for setting up a sports program adapted to autistic people, etc.

Finally, to encourage autistic people to practice sports, a guide was created to raise awareness of the benefits of sports and help them choose the sport that suits them. They will also find descriptive sheets of various sports to help them identify their preferences (indoor or outdoor, individual or team, etc.).

The documents are available in the “Documents to Download” section of our website, and the e-learning is available in the website’s presentation bar.
We wish you an enjoyable discovery of the tools.
